CEDEÑO immersed herself into the world of Electronic Dance Music where she began studying the art of DJ and Music Production at a rather early age of 16. Born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, raised in the South Side of Chicago, La Villita.
Her ultra-eclectic music repertoire included House Music, Tech House and Techno. CEDEÑO specializes on her unique style of Tribal House, Drums and Vocals from all Latin America and Africa. Major influences such as Dario Ñunez, Mastiksoul, Roger Sanchez, Black Coffee and Little Louie Vega along with her Mexican roots.
Her proficiency in these various styles have led her to play at Night Clubs, Festivals, Concerts and Parades. CEDEÑO has share the decks with and opened shows for the likes of Eli Guerra, Motel, Elefante, The Fire and Reason, 60 Tigeres, Los Dinamite, Subatomico, Hidrogenesse, Palenke Soul Tribe, Mariana Seone, Andrea, Nacotheque, Jesse Murphy (Brazilian Girls), Harrison Crump, Mexican Dubwiser, Dj Santi, CumbiaSazo, Sound-Bar, Hydrate, Smart Bar, House of Blues, Metro, Concord, Congress Theater, Hola Mexico Film Festival, Pilsen Fest, Lincoln Park Fest, Chicago Pride Parade, Mole De Mayo Fest to name a few.
Local and national media gain interest and offered CEDEÑO a residency or guest appearance on different radio shows; Mixtopia Radio Show, The Moov Radio in Chihuahua, Mexico, Vocalo Radio in Chicago, and guest appearances in Pilsen Fearless radio station to mention a few. CEDEÑO was also voted one of the "Top 10 DJs In Chicago" by Chicago’s Remezcla (chi.remezcla.com) on online source for what is hot and current in the Chicago Latino music scene. CEDEÑO was also part of a short DJ documentary “Slip Cue’s” by Robin Kupferman Puts winning over 20 awards.
Her first single Dirty Talk Featuring Angel F was a huge success and soon lead CEDEÑO to sign her first deal with Direct Drive Digital Records. From there she produced two EP’s and her newest single "El Trip Del Happy Meal". Which took her to a whole new level of popularity in the Chicago dance industry. CEDEÑO began the next chapter in her career by launching her very own record label LATINX RECORDS. CEDEÑO original tracks are selling over 150 online digital music stores including iTunes, Apple Music, Google Play and Amazon to name a few.
CEDEÑO’s mission is to bring her unique style of Tribal House. So that people of all races, ages and creeds may be united by a single thread and experience a wonderful journey of drums, sounds and rhythms to the mind, body and soul.
